Power of Us: Lessons Learned & Actions to Support the Youth Fields Workforce

Webinar Resources | October 30, 2025

Thank you to everyone who joined Every Hour Counts for the Power of Us Webinar! We were thrilled that more than 350 leaders, educators, and advocates signed up for the webinar and are committed to strengthening the youth fields workforce.

The conversation centered on the Power of Us Workforce Survey, a groundbreaking national study led by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) and commissioned by The Wallace Foundation. With input from more than 10,000 youth-serving professionals, the survey offers an unprecedented look into the workforce powering afterschool and summer learning.

Dr. Femi Vance of AIR noted that the talents and skills youth workers bring are essential to building strong relationships with young people and their families. Gina Warner of the National Afterschool Association, emphasized the need for systems-level solutions, urging leaders, intermediaries, and funders to take responsibility for building structures that support and retain this essential workforce. Aleah Rosario of Partnership for Children and Youth and Nanceny Fanny of The Bayview Foundation brought critical perspectives on local strategies to invest in and elevate the OST workforce, grounding national data in real community experience.

We invite you to catch up, revisit the conversation, or share it with your network using the recording and resources below.
